BMW Zentrum
The BMW Zentrum Museum is the only BMW Museum in North America. See rare vehicles from the past like the “Bubblecar.” With restored classic BMWs through the years to current state-of-the-art models. Get ready for an interactive experience!

Chapman Cultural Center
The Chapman Cultural Center is dedicated to promoting the arts, humanities, and sciences in the Spartanburg community.

Davidson River Campground, Brevard, NC
The Davidson River Campground runs along the breathtaking Davidson River just outside Brevard. You can camp, fish, swim, tube!

Hatcher Garden is one of the top places to visit in Spartanburg. This free garden and wildlife sanctuary displays all the trees, shrubs, and plants native to the Upstate of South Carolina. It is open every day of the year from dawn until dusk.
The Butterfly Garden is a delight with its flowers and plants that attract Monarch, Gulf Fritillary, and Red-spotted Purple butterflies.

Hollywild Animal Park
Hollywild Animal Park is a nonprofit animal sanctuary. At this preserve, you’ll see deer, emus, alpaca, sheep, donkeys, and more!
Don’t miss the highlight of a Sirian bear and her two cubs. Feed the camels and other animals that come to the car windows as you drive through the park.
In November, Hollywild Animal Park hosts the Holiday Lights Safari. Holiday displays, music, and other decorations will adorn the one-hundred-acre park for the holidays!
You can drive through the Enchanted Deer Forest, visit the Life-sized Nativity, and see Mr. and Mrs. Claus at the end. With over 350 animals, Hollywild Animal Park is a can’t-miss attraction.

Hub City Railroad Museum
Located at the Southern Railway Spartanburg Union Depot, the Hub City Railroad Museum highlights the history of how the railroad connected to the peach and textile industries for many years.
Fun and educational for all ages, you can board the Southern Railway Caboose to watch the Norfolk Southern trains as they pass through Spartanburg.
You can try your hand at being a telegrapher on the telegraph machine, ring the 1940 locomotive bell, and visit the gift shop to peruse the model trains and other items for sale. The museum is open Wednesday and Saturday from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm.

Kings Mountain National Military Park
Located minutes from downtown Spartanburg, South Carolina, is Kings Mountain Military Park in Blacksburg. At Kings Mountain, the Patriots secured a significant victory after the British invasion of Charleston in 1780.
Over four thousand acres of native plants and animals make the hikes in the park special. Here, they have over five hundred species of endangered plants.
In October, the local militia hosts an Anniversary Commemoration of the Battle at Kings Mountain. They have living history interpreters, children’s activities, guided tours, weapons demonstrations, and more throughout the day.

Lawson’s Fork Creek
The Lawson’s Fork Creek Blueway begins in downtown Spartanburg and travels over fifty miles to the town of Lockhart, South Carolina. You can paddle down the creek and see unique plants and animals, but they also offer guided tours highlighting the various creek historic mills.
Morgan Square

Morgan Square, in the middle of downtown Spartanburg, is home to many restaurants and free activities throughout the year.

- Music on Main happens Thursdays from 5:30 pm-8:30 pm, April through July. This Summer concert series of live music is popular and well-attended.
- Spring Fling is Spartanburg’s favorite street festival. With four stages for performances, street foods, and the Family Fun Zone for the kids, this three-day festival is not something to miss!
- Red, White, and Boom happens in July to celebrate Independence Day. Expect food, fireworks, and lots of patriotic music!
- The International Festival celebrates the diverse people of Spartanburg with food and beverages in Barnet Park. There is a Kids Zone and lots of other fun events!
- Dickens of a Christmas happens on the first Tuesday in December from 6 pm-9 pm. This free Victorian Holiday festival is Spartanburg’s Yuletide celebration.

OnAgain OffAgain Farm is home to alpacas! Lots and lots of them! They breed alpacas and sell raw yarn along with other alpaca items. Visit their online shop to buy dryer balls, yarn, hand-knitted hats, scarves, and toys. They have felt sheets, too! They also sell the poo for gardens and the like.

RJ Rockers Brewing Company

Walnut Grove Plantation
This plantation was built in 1757 by Charles and Mary Moore. Throughout the years, the Walnut Grove Plantation saw history unfold during the Revolutionary War, the Battle at Cowpens, and more. Walnut Grove Plantation is on the National Register of Historic Places.
The museum is open on Saturdays from 11 am-5 pm and Sundays from 12 pm-5 pm.
Admission is $10 and free for those under four years old.

The West Main Artists Co-op is an artists’ collective that boasts over thirty-two booths in a 20,000-foot warehouse.
