Six South – Partridge Inn

Six South is the stunning rooftop bar that sits atop the Partridge Inn, one of Augusta’s most historic hotels. Built in 1910, the Partridge Inn is a member of Historic Hotels of America. Recently, it has undergone renovations to ensure that guests continue to enjoy a top-notch experience.

With a prime location in the Summerville Historic District, Six South has views of Augusta that will make your jaw drop, especially at sunset. Go ahead and take that Instagram picture holding your craft cocktail!

A full menu is now offered at Six South as well, so guests can enjoy the entire evening at this beautiful venue if they wish.

The menu will make any seafood lover drool, from the extravagant seafood towers to the raw bar to the seared scallops. Not in the mood for seafood? Try one of their delicious soups, salads, or the hanger steak. These are sure to please as well!

Bar 111 – Hyatt House

Skyline view of downtown Augusta Georgia

Bar 111 is located on the 8th floor of Hyatt House in downtown Augusta. It is the second rooftop bar opened in Augusta, after Six South.

The views from here are more urban. You can see the downtown skyline and look over the river into North Augusta! Bar 111 is blocks away from all that downtown Augusta has to offer: a variety of restaurants, entertainment venues, shops, and other businesses.

Hyatt House is also a great hotel for out-of-town guests who want to spend time downtown. Check out their website here.

In addition to the cocktails, beer, and wine that Bar 111 offers, they also have a Sip + Snack menu with smaller plates that you can pick up in the lobby.

The rooftop has lots of comfortable outdoor seating, making it a great place to get together with friends and loved ones. They have heaters for colder weather so don’t let that stop you!

Edgar’s Above Broad, also located in downtown Augusta, is truly the ultimate rooftop destination! They are open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Thursdays and Fridays. And on Saturdays, they offer dinner!

Edgar’s is one of the few restaurants in Augusta that offers delicious food, a variety of coffees & teas, as well as an impressive selection of alcoholic beverages, from local beers to the 29 types of whiskey. View their menus here

Take a look around Edgar’s and you can tell this is a fun place to be! If the putting green, bocce ball court, or giant turf checkers board don’t give it away, then the live music will!

Edgar’s entertainment schedule is always packed, with artists booked for every Friday and Saturday night. This spacious rooftop venue is also available for private events so be sure to keep them in mind for your next big event!

Jackson’s Bluff – Crowne Plaza

Like a couple of the other spots on this list, Jackson’s Bluff rooftop bar is associated with a hotel. In this case, Crowne Plaza in North Augusta, the town’s newest luxury hotel.

Crowne Plaza is located in Riverside Villagea and is right on the Savannah River. It is also a few steps away from SRP Park. Enjoy the beauty of the river while you catch up with friends or colleagues over a drink!

Jackson’s Bluff is one of the more upscale establishments on this list, given that it sits atop a luxury hotel. But the atmosphere is still as warm and welcoming as the community it calls home.

Take a seat at one of the larger high tops if you’re feeling social, on the outdoor furniture if you want a more intimate experience, or post up at one of the mounted bars if you want to take in the gorgeous view. View their website here

Southbound Smokehouse

Southbound Smokehouse, while technically not a rooftop venue, deserves a place on this list. It has outdoor seating, both covered and uncovered on its second story.

There are floor-to-ceiling windows surrounding the enclosed section, not to mention the fun friendly ambiance of a rooftop! Southbound is right across the street from Crowne Plaza in SRP Park, making it the perfect place for dinner or drinks before a Green Jackets game.

This place is a restaurant, bar, and live music venue, all rolled into one. What more could you ask for? As their name implies, they serve barbecue, and all the sides associated with it, as well as other bar foods including burgers, wings, and quesadillas.

While they do serve liquor, they’re not really known for fancy cocktails. Think of what you used to order on a night out in college, with some craft beers thrown in. Southbound always has events going on as well. From live music to trivia to karaoke, there’s something for everyone!

Did you know that the owners of Southbound have another restaurant? Soul City Pizza was featured in Augusta Planet’s Quick Guide to the Best Pizza in Augusta, GA.
