In this article, I’ll take a look at the top golf courses near Rome, Georgia! The two courses in Rome, Georgia open to the public are Stonebridge Golf Club and Callier Springs Country Club. The Coosa Country Club has a golf course for members.
Stonebridge Golf Club
Arthur Davis designed the Stonebridge Golf Course which is within 7.5 miles of downtown Rome. This is a 6,800-yard course with a championship layout. Alongside breathtaking views of the North Georgia Mountains, this Par 72 course welcomes golfers of all skill levels.
After enjoying the course, check out some of the other amenities. In the Stonebridge Clubhouse, you’ll find a fully stocked golf pro shop.
The Stonebridge Grill serves burgers, sandwiches, breakfast foods, and drinks. A beverage cart can also be found on the course during the day!

Callier Springs Country Club
In operation since 1935, Callier Springs is a 9-hole course in Rome, Georgia. At 2,873 yards, the course is a Par 35. As a semi-private club, members of the public can play the course for a reasonable fee.

The course was designed by Gene Cobb and has lovely Bermuda greens. After playing 9 or 18 holes, stop in the shop for a quick bite to eat.
If you are interested in more facilities, you can also check out The Lawrence Preserve at Horseleg Creek. The facility is only open to members and features pickelball and tennis courts, a swimming pool, and a fitness center.

Coosa Country Club

Located in the heart of downtown Rome, the Coosa Country Club has a lot of local history. Originally designed in 1932, the golf course was designed in 1961 by George Cobb.
In addition to the 18-hole championship course, there are a host of amenities that are appealing for those thinking about joining the club.

Cedar Valley Golf Course
Located in Cedartown, Georgia, this golf course is worth the visit! The course is 22.3 miles from the center of Rome and only a 26-minute drive.
Cedar Valley Golf Course is semi-private and very affordable to play. With a slope rating of 121, the course is a challenge but still forgiving to newer players.

Bentwater Golf Club
Head southeast towards Acworth and you’ll arrive at Bentwater Golf Club. The cheapest membership runs around $60 per month. This gives you access to the golf course during weekday afternoons.
Additionally, you will be able to use the clubhouse. Here you’ll find both the Golf Pro Shop and dining facilities. The all-day menu includes delicious options such as the brisket sandwich, turkey avocado melt, burgers, salads, wings, and fried chicken strips.
The course is a Par 72 and difficulty varies greatly by tee type. The Teal Tee runs at 4,646 yards and a 117 slope. The most difficult is 6,869 yards and a 143 slop rating. Designed by Mike Dasher, the course is known for the scenic views of Red Top Mountain.

Woodland Hills Golf Club at Carter Grove

The facility is open to both members and non-members and the menu serves wraps, fresh sandwiches, and snacks. And when the weather is good, there’s a veranda with lovely views!

Fields Ferry Golf Club
Fields Ferry is a public golf course with a weekday rate of $37 and $47 for weekends. There are discounts for seniors and twilight hours. If you want to use the driving range, the range balls are only $4.
Located in Calhoun, the course was designed by Arthur Davis. At 6,586 yards, the course presents a challenge with a Par 72 and 129 slope rating.

Barnsley Resort
Sitting on 3,000 acres in the North Georgia Mountains, the Barnsley Resort is the perfect spot for a weekend getaway and has an incredible golf course!
The golf course was designed by Jim Fazio. At 7,350 yards, the course is a Par 72. The course is open to the public, but resort guests play the course at a discounted rate.
