You’ll find special gifts and enter into the world of fine artisans.

You can find handcrafted works by some amazing craftspeople! Items include fabric bags, silk wearables, art pieces, and dichroic glass jewelry! The vintage designs and toys are all worth checking out!

When is the 31st Annual Christmas Made in the South: Columbus, GA?

This national event will be held from Oct. 28 – 30, 2022. It is put on by Carolina Shows. The hours at the Columbus Georgia Convention Center will be:

  • Friday the 28th: 10 AM – 7 PM
  • Saturday the 29th: 10 AM – 6 PM
  • Sunday the 30th: 11 AM – 5 PM

Admission is $9 for adults and the hand stamp is good for the entire weekend! Children 12 and under get free admission.

Getting in the car to see a beautiful Christmas light show and display is a fantastic way to spend an evening! Below are five of the best light shows in Columbus, GA to visit!

1. Uptown Tree Trail

The Uptown Tree Trail takes place in Uptown Columbus during the month of December. It was started by Columbus State University students in 2016 and has quickly become a well-loved tradition.

The display of live Christmas trees runs along the Broadway median and you can purchase your own tree for the display.

2. Columbus Botanical Garden

The Columbus Botanical Garden is in north Columbus and sits on 36 acres. During the Christmas season, they host events where you can walk the gardens and view light displays. Tickets are required.

3. The Ludy Christmas Spectacular

Jerry and Edith Ludy have a massive light display with 500,000 lights that run over 10 miles of light strands! You can see Santa’s elves and reindeer. The display begins after Thanksgiving and runs through the New Year.

4. Callaway Gardens’ Fantasy in Lights

While Callaway Gardens is in Pine Mountain, it’s worth mentioning! Seeing this nationally recognized display is the perfect way to spend an evening and capture some photography of nature. Georgia also has some amazing state parks that will host Christmas events as well.
