Guiseppe’s Pizza and Pasta House is a local favorite in Hilton Head!
Background Info: Their inspiration came from the owner’s favorite neighborhood pizzerias in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania that used fresh ingredients and “cut no corners” when it came to a delicious pizza.
The Pizza: Guiseppe’s pizza sauce is made fresh from California tomatoes, and pizza dough is made daily at the Bluffton and Hilton Head locations. I have a feeling these extra steps are what make this such great pizza.
Awards: In fact, Lowcountry Style & Living recently named Guiseppe’s Pizza and Pasta House “The Best Pizza on Hilton Head.” And the Reader’s Choice gave it the “Best Pizza” Award from The Island Packet newspaper.
If you want to wash down your pizza, Guiseppe’s also has a full bar with 16 draft beers.

Highlights: This is the perfect place to enjoy a local, “mom and pop” style dinner. On the menu, you’ll find plenty of delicious options such as ziti, gnocchi, and traditional pizzas. The thin-crust pies are made with fresh mozzarella cheese and a flavorful sauce that transports you straight to Italy.

3. Local Pie
When it comes to awesome pizza, Local Pie is no stranger.
About: This restaurant serves a true Neapolitan-style wood-fired pizza. They take “local” to its most basic meaning by cooking with the highest quality, regionally-sourced ingredients.
Local Pie also prides itself on being part of the Hilton Head community by being a local business, with local staff, and local suppliers.

About: Modeled after the classic pizza joints of the 1970s, Fat Baby’s is famous for its homeade pies with extra love. Locals and visitors alike love “The Fat Baby,” which comes with pepperoni, sausage, meatball, onion, green bell peppers, black olives, mushrooms, and extra cheese.
While most customers dine in, takeout and delivery are also available at Fat Baby’s.

5. Dough Boys Pizza
Dough Boys Pizza is the final recommendation on this list and is locally loved.
About: If you ask anyone who lives on the island, they’ll probably tell you that Dough Boys is one of their favorite places for excellent pizza. In fact, Dough Boys is so popular they usually sell out on Friday and Saturday nights, so place your orders early.
The restaurant offers a variety of specialty pizzas, one even has barbecue sauce as the base!
The Dough Boys restaurant has limited seating, but they accept take-out orders and have the best pizza delivery island-wide.
