Atlanta Summer Beer Fest

The Atlanta Summer Beer Fest is an annual festival that is usually held in the historic 4th Ward Park in June of each year.

With over 150 beers, wines, and hard ciders, this is one of the largest beer festivals in the state!

In addition to wine tasting and beer samples, patrons can also enjoy live music and fun attractions. Last year, the festival hosted DJ Qtip and Davis and the Love on their main stage, but the entertainment is different each year.

Suwanee Beer Fest

The Suwanee Beer Fest is held annually in March of each year in Suwanee Town Center Park and is exclusively for ages 21 and up.

This festival has over 350 beers from around the country as well as live entertainment, popular local food trucks, and local vendors, small businesses, and artists. There are also tons of activities and festival games. Choose from giant Jenga, giant beer pong, and axe throwing.

As with most other beer festivals, general admission tickets will go up in price depending on date of purchase.

Tickets generally go on sale in January of each year, so visit their website to get yours as soon as possible! The Suwanee Beer Fest was voted one of the top ten beer festivals in the country by USA Today, so it’s absolutely a can’t-miss event if you want to try some different beers.

Georgia Craft Brewers Festival

The Georgia Craft Brewers Festival is held in the spring of each year at the Atlantic Station Event Space.

The ticket price of general admission includes all beer tastings, so this festival is a great value for the money. Over 60 member breweries of the Georgia Craft Brewers Guild attend each year. You can taste over 200 total beers as well as some great collaboration beers. 

Food vendors and live musical performances round out this festival to make it an all-day event and one of the best beer festivals in the Atlanta area. At the end of the festival, a panel of experienced Beer Judge Certification Program-certified judges will award the top three beers at the event.

Live! ATL Brew Fest

The Battery at Truist Park

Usually hosted in August of each year, this is one of the largest and best beer festivals of the summer. The Live! ATL Brew Fest is a large annual beer festival located in the Battery Atlanta and produced by Terrapin Taproom.

Although the festival is put on by the Terrapin Beer Company, this festival hosts breweries from all over the country, including many Georgia favorites.

In addition to beer tastings, admission also includes a Brew Fest souvenir cup. VIP tickets are also available, which give festival-goers access to the exclusive indoor VIP area, a private buffet, additional beer tastings, and a brew fest t-shirt.

Tickets, especially for VIP admission, usually sell out by the day of the event, so it’s a good idea to purchase yours early if you plan on attending!

Georgia Beer Garden

If you aren’t in town for any of these beer festivals, the Georgia Beer Garden in downtown Atlanta provides a beer festival feel year-round.

In this historic factory building, the Georgia Beer Garden has over 24 beers on tap, countless bottles and cans, and delicious food.

Roswell Beer Festival

The Roswell Beer Festival is held in the Roswell town square each year in March.

With over 350 beers available, this is the perfect opportunity to get a taste of local breweries. The entertainment consists of live music from local bands and artists, and “restaurant row†provides patrons with a myriad of excellent food options from local restaurants. 

General admission tickets are available and provide patrons with unlimited tastings and a souvenir beer glass, and VIP admission is available if you’re interested in gaining exclusive access to the VIP tent and lounge area. Since this event is held so early in the year, the weather is usually cool and crisp—perfect for spending the day outside.

Classic City Brew Fest

Classic City Brew Fest takes place in Athens, Georgia. This festival offers the unique opportunity to taste one-off cask ales that are only available at Classic City Brew Fest.

One of the most unique beer festivals in the state, the German Bierfest is held in the Historic Fourth Ward Park in August.

It includes complimentary beer and wine tastings, musical entertainment, and other fun activities. Local German restaurants will serve authentic food, such as pretzels, sauerkraut, and schnitzel.
